A lot of people have said that they were not yet ready for the 9/11 movies when they came out over the last year or so. (I am in that group).

As a Don DeLillo fan, I'm most likely going to read this.

But I was wondering how eveyone else felt about the subject matter - is it still too soon for a book like this?

To quote the article in NY Magazine:
"Even six years later, I’m not sure the nation is ready to submit its largest collective emotional wound to the wry metaphysician of supermarkets and advertising jingles. After all, it was precisely DeLillo’s brand of postmodern irony—chilly, intellectual, superior, detached—that was supposed to have died that morning, or at least to have learned to keep its proper distance."
