Does your Church/Temple do anything special for Moms?
To honor all women,our Church gives all the women who attend Mothers' Day services, a beautiful rose, in our choice of color, and they put it into a water vial. And even though I'm allergic to roses, I usually get a peach colored one!!!  Mary

I think they may give our carnations.. or maybe the boy scouts sell them....I can't remember.
But, they do a really nice thing where all the Mom's stand and your family puts their hands on you and they say a special blessing.

My cousins church... the service is completely run by the children. It's a lutheran church. My 17 year old cousin gave the 'sermon' today... kids are greeters, do communion, etc.

Yes, they gave out pins to all the moms/moms to be. They also gave us a special blessing,
The priest that married DH and I saw me leaving and blessed our baby

At my son's Temple the kids potted and decorated plants, they painted paper plates with "Happy Mother's Day" song. And my son 4 yo sang to me in the tune of "You are My Sunshine"...

Awwww, Sparkle, that is so cute!!!! I want to remember the words to that song!!!! I think I still have many "Mommy's Day" tributes, from our children. Those are the memories, I cherish!!!! Mary
