They tell you to drink some water and lie down?

Think it depends on the pain and how far along you are. I was having pains yesterday and wound up spending 5 hours in L&D.

Other times I have gotten the lay down and drink water. So strange.

Mine just says "Oh that's normal"Chat Icon

Except when I was bleeding, then she sent me to L&D

Yeah- I gt all worked up-come in with a list and then I feel silyl when leaving

I always get "its normal"- enjoy your pregnancy...

Once I complained about the increased wetness - she did hook me up to the sonogram machine to check my fluids

I wish! They always make me go to the hospital for monitoring! It makes me not even want to call anymore!

Anytime I've called (and its been alot) they always tell me to come in. But, I am high risk so that might have something to do with it. Of course when I get there and they check me and everything is fine they tell me that its normal to feel certain things, have spotting, etc..And then I feel like an idiot.

yes, but at least the receptionist at my Drs office says "common" now instead of normal. I don't know why the semantics get to me but it seems more comforting & accurate to have common symptoms rather than be blown off & told "oh that's normal" I know I am weirdChat Icon

Mine takes me seriously...but then again, I've had MINIMAL complaints this time around. Last time, I wanted to strangle my dr. b/c of all the "it's nothings" I would get.Chat Icon

I got a lot of the "its normal" too, but also had my questions addressed seriously, maybe due to the high blood pressure?
