does anyone put up their christmas tree on christmas eve?
thought it might be a nice tradition although i don't think i would keep it up very long!

My aunt and uncle used to do this....they used to tell my cousins that Santa brought the tree...she stopped after a while becasuse she said it was a PIA to do it that night and wrap the gifts too!

I dont like the idea.
I like the spirit of Christmas, so decorating early lets me extend it for more then a day or two.

I would never do that! I love to enjoy the tree all month long (and well into january too)
Plus nothing is going to tear me away from a fish dinner and midnight mass on christmas eve. there's ENOUGH going on that night!

i've always wondered why it's so common in the movies for trees to be bought and decorated on christmas eve, cause i've never known anyone to actually do that...
i like having mine a few weeks in advance... makes christmas last longer
