Does anyone know of a trainer that has a service dog cert program?
I need to find a trainer that can evaluate and, if he qualifies, train my Dane as a service dog.

I dont know any, but if that dog does get a cert, people cAN ride him to and fro.

I've been told that the Canine Good Citizen certification is a good precursor to Therapy Dog certification. On the CGC website, I believe they even list for you the things they will be tested on. One of the things that trips some people up is being able to leave your dog with a stranger, without it showing big signs of stress.
I'm considering it myself, specifically Therapy Dog International certification. I contacted a local nursing home that claims to have a therapy dog program, and they never got back to me.

Whoops sorry, you said service dog. Did you mean service as in helping someone with a disability?

Yes, but I would also be interested to know if my Loki would make a good therapy dog as well.
