I'm so bad, I live in Howard Beach and I don't even know!! I know there's one right by my house, but I don't know where it goes in Manhattan.
try checking out hopstop.com.....it will give you train directions and there might be something where you can click on bus only. good luck!!

I think all of the Queens buses stop in midtown because they come through the Tunnel.

We live in HB, and as far as I know, there are no express buses that leave HB and go downtown.
The only ones that go through the HB area are the QM15, the QM16 and the QM17. They all go to midtown, starting on 3rd and 34th, and going up 6th Avenue to 57th, and then down to the 59th street bridge.
Your options are to grab a local bus or train in the city and go downtown. The HB express buses stop by the 4,5,6 and the F,B,D,V,R and W.
Or, you can grab the Q11 at Liberty Ave, and go down Woodhaven to Queens Blvs - I believe there are downtown buses that leave from there.
