Does anyone have the iTouch? rants, raves??
thinking about getting one... I would love some feedback - esp on the WiFi feature. do you find that a lot of places have WiFi?

depends where you go...
It ok...i think its pricey and trendy (coming from an iPhone owner) but its fun. I used to the old ipod controls and while the album art is cool, i sometimes forget which album i want so i can back to the text menu.
I havn't brought anything from Itunes store via phone but it's quick when connect to wi-fi
If it were me and money was a factor, i would go old school...

I bought one for DH for Christmas, and he's pretty obsessed with it. He uses it for WiFi occasionally, but mostly he loves the bigger touch screen and the ability to watch things comfortably on it as opposed to just using it for music. (He uses it on the LIRR everyday.)

Now would be a good time to buy one. Apple added 5 new features to the iTouch. Now you can check your emails on it just like I can do on my iPhone.

DH bought me one for my birthday..and i love it! grantedi never had a regular ipod before....so i don't know how much it compares to using it vs. the touch. i have heard that iPod users don't like the menus as much as using the click wheel. i would definitely say its not as good if you are using it for when you are working out, jogging, active, etc. since adjusting the volume and going thru the menus is a little more involved than the regular iPod.
but i've used the WiFi a lot--it really is quick to search for a network---and i've been in bars using wifi. lol i've downloaded songs directly to the iPod using the WiFi and then it transfers automatically to my computer when i sync it and charge.

ITA- DH and I bought them for eachother when they came out back in October or whenever it was... it was our early Christmas gifts to eachother.
We both Love it- though DH Is OBSESSED!!! NEVER leaves home without it. It's good though b/c a lot of places have wi-fi so he doesn't rush me out of stores anymore 
I lost mine the other day (misplaced may be a better word b/c I'm thinking it HAS to be in my house!!!) and still haven't found it!
