Does anyone have an infant that wakes in the middle of the night to play?
DD is 7 months and she has been waking around 3am. she starts talking and playing with her toys. why does this happen how do i stop it?
she eventually goes back but it keeps me up

DD would do this occassionally around that age, doc said it was totally normal...
As long as she puts herself back to sleep it's ok... I don't think you can stop it though...

No, DD has never done that, but have you tried taking out the toys? Turning down your monitor maybe?

same thing happened to me about 2/3 weeks ago. She is now 7 months 1 week old. I just kept going in and putting her back on her belly. She would eventually get the hint and fall back asleep. I couldn't sleep either because she was babbling and playing with her mobile and then eventually se would start crying. She eventually got her self back on her normal schedule of sleeping through the night and for some reason for the last week she wakes up and she cries out once or twice and then falls back to sleep. I have no idea what this is. It is always something new though.

Lance started doing that at like 8 months old. One night he kept us up for four hours!!!  We just started letting him cry for 20 minutes & so far it has worked. He just puts himself back to bed.... We don't have any toys in the crib though.
