Does anyone get together in Suffolk for play dates?
Was wondering if anyone meets at parks, etc. so the kids get to play.

I live in Sayville and we go to Family Fridays in the park every other week or so. Nice place to meet neighbors and other parents.
Other than that... I usually make play dates with other mom's from my sons' schools or sports groups.

i recently posted about the same thing ...someone told me about the momsgroup which im waiting for someone to get back to me (they have a website) its $20 per year.
I live in lindenhurst and i am interested in getting a playgroup together with other moms in the area interested who want to meet at the park and other places...

My DD is only 8 days old, so I don't know about playing, but I am interested in meeting other moms. I'm in Huntington.

IMO it's not even worth it. Especially if it is what I am thinking of. People network on here all the time and get together for walks, playdates, etc. And this is free!

i think its $20 a year to be a part of the moms group..i hear that you are given a calendar of events and you just go to the diffrent events and activities when you can make it, which is what i like the best incase we are busy or bella gets sick or something ...im very upset that no one has gotten back to me in a week im not getting a good impression about the group lol...
i tried twice posting here on LIF to get together with people but most people interested live too far away...i keep posting hoping someone will want to have a playgroup in my area.
town of babylon has a 9 week program for $70 which isnt bad but if i can do it for free on LIF or through that moms group i would rather do that and save the money

Have you tried any local churches? I know that when I got my DD baptised they sent me information for the mommy & me programs that htey had and a few days a week they have programs -- some are arts & crafts, some are just open free plays by age group.
my mom and little sister were involved in something like this at a chrch that we weren't even members of --- and did it for years and made a lot of good friends from it.
