I do in Abby's room. I'm not sure why I even started--I think when she had bronchiolitis and I just never stopped. I can't see a downside.

I use it all winter whether she's sick or not. I don't bother in the summer - I guess because the central air seems to take all the water out of it!

I actually have both on! We have a white noise machine and we have the humidifier on

Downside, just make sure you are diligent in cleaning the humidifier!

I do every night, and in the summer/fall I used a white noise machine.

We used to, but don't anymore-I wonder about the effects of the whitenoise on their hearing. Do you think it could impact their hearing long term?

I use it everyday since DS's room can get to hot no matter the season or weather.

Same. Keeps his lungs moist in the dry heat and the white noise is an added bonus

we have a warm mist one, started using it when my DD had a bad cold at 2 moths and the her ped told us to get it, it's good to have one in winter , when the heat is on and the air is dry, plus it creates the white noise. we are planing on buying a noise machine for summer.

not for white noise (its very quiet), but I have it on most nights. We have one in our room too - I hate dry air.

I would but his humidifier makes no noise, so we keep his air purifier on 24/7.

There's no harm in leaving the humidifier on though. Its probably good for them, especially in the winter with the heat drying everything out.
