Does anyone else find it almost impossible to get anything done in the house with a toddler?

Tasks that should take 30 min. take three x's as long. DS loves to help but it's more like he's getting in the way Chat Icon but I dont want to hurt his feelings so I let him help. My mom always asks me why DS's clothes look like I just threw them in his drawers, I tell her b/c her grandson likes to fold them and put them away himself Chat Icon and if I try to fix them when he is around he gets upset.

I just feel like it is so hard to keep up on the house with a toddler, inside and outside. It took us hours to mow and edge and do the lawn yesterday b/c someone always had to have their eye on DS.

I can only imagine how much harder it is going to be with 2 Chat Icon

You are not alone Chat Icon ...My DS is a big "helper" too Chat Icon

You can only do what you can do...We try to do a decent clean on Sunday mornings while one of us wrangles the kids, the other does the fastest cleaning imaginable ...When my DD is sleeping, we don't want to make too much noise, so that doesnt help...

And honestly, 2 days later it looks like we never even cleaned Chat Icon , but my kids are happy and thats what I'm happy about for now...Chat Icon

Everything is a project around here too --- it took me almost an hour to make eggs for breakfast yesterday -- first he helped me scramble the eggs, then he wanted to sit on a chair and watch them cook - then he wanted to put the cheese in etc..

And forget cleaning -- I feel like a little tornado is walking around behind me when i try to clean.

It depends. Some days as I'm folding laundry he runs through the piles and I want to cry. Other days he just plays around me as I do things. If I have something I want to get done I will put on one of his favorite shows, give him a snack, and do whatever needs to be done really fast. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I cant get anything done..and I feel like my house is falling apart. The dust bunnies and tumble weeds are beginning to take over!!!!Chat Icon

No sooner do I clean, dust, vacuum etc...and it gets messy again. My mother calls it "shoveling $hit againest the tide"....

ME!!! It's even harder with my big belly in the way these days and my patience wearing thin at times with Victoria. I have been trying to imagine how this is going to work with another one in the house and I begin to feel overwhelmed especially with DH's work schedule and not having any family close by to help.

Once I'm done feeling sorry for myself, I realize others have done it and survived - somehow we will get through. (okay, it may not actually solve my problem but it is helping with the panic attacks I've been having a bit)
