Doctor told my DH that
Connor will probably have Asthma because of he has dry skin???
He didn't see our regular doctor.
Can anyone help me with this one?
No one in either family has Asthma?

What?? Maybe eczema? I've heard of a correlation between that and asthma, but not just dry skin...

I've never heard of either....
I had egzema when I was younger and I never had asthma...
Julia has egzama and she doesn't have any problems with her breathing, I don't think they have anything to do with one another, I would get a second opinion.....

Eczema and asthma are related...if your baby has eczema, he/she has a 30% chance of developing asthma. I'm not sure of the link but its in all my parenting books. My friend is going through a horrible bout of eczema with her 5 month old, and she was told the same thing by her doctor. My friend has asthma herself so I'm not sure if thats a factor for her baby as well..
30% is not too high, he has a 70% chance of avoiding it, so i think thats positive!! Good luck to you!
