Do you think the aquarium in Riverhead wil be PACKED today?
or just the opposite?
Also, what have you found is the best time to go...morning, or after lunch?

first thing in the morning is less crowded (they open @ 10) --- it's so nice out, i think more people are headed to the beach instead of the aquarium, so it's prob a good day for it.

leave NOW and get there when it opens at 10... it will start to get crowded by 11 or so... There is a show at 10:45 that's fun to watch.

Definitely! The earlier the better, I agree.
DD took a class there the last 3 days (got to go in the butterfly exhibit yesterday, right after it opened for the first time!) and by the time we were leaving there at noon on the weekdays, it was getting pretty crowded.
ETA: They have a good amount of outside exhibits & attractions, so I think people don't necessarily wait for rainy days to go there in the spring/summer.

The new butterfly exhibit opens this weekend. It costs extra, but that might make it more crowded.
