Do you stay home from work when your dc is sick?
Molly is sick so I'm staying home from work instead of having her sitter come. I kind of feel guilty since I don't have to take her anywhere but I figure every sick child wants their mommy.

Aw poor Molly.
If I had in home childcare, I think I would stay home too depending on how she was sick. I think it is so sweet that you are staying home.
I hope she feels better soon.

If DD is really sick (like when she had roseolla) and just wants me, then I do. DH is home with her during the day but sometimes a baby just wants their mommy.

If DS was really sick I might stay home, but if it was just a cold or something little like that, then I wouldn't.

I agree. When dd had her first ear infection dh stayed home with her and cuddled with her all day, I was so jealous

When Lucas was running a fever last month I kept him home for the two days...DH took one and I took the other. I had to use a vacation day but it was worth it because he only wanted mommy and he was finally able to sleep - on me.
I wish my boss would let me use my sick time instead.

When I was working, it would depend on whether DH had important meetings. If he didn't he would stay home. He got WAY more time off than me. I hated going to work when DS was sick, but it made more sense for DH to stay. I'd have more famiily time with DS by saving my days!
And luckily for us, DS wants his daddy just as much as his mommy! 
I hope your DD feel better fast! And, enjoy your time with her today!

I would definitely stay home, I would be no good at work anyway becasue I would just be worrying about DS.
ETA: I do have alot of vacation & sick days, it might be different if I didn't

Wait why won't your boss let you take a sick day? Can they do that? At work I determine if I want to apply my day off to sick time, vacation time or personal time.

DS hasn't been really sick yet (thankfully), but I would stay home with him if he was. I get much more time off than DH and my work is more flexible. There can be, however, days when I really need to be in the office, and in that case, I don't know what we'd do!!

When Alex is really sick, I always stay home. When she's just half-sick DH and I split the day.
