Do You Know Someone....
That always wants you to chauffeur them around? Okay, I made plans with my friend to go to the mall today to some shopping and we agreed that she will be the one to drive since I am always the driver at all times. Now, lo and behold she just called to say that the she is feeling cranky and not in the mood to drive so she is asking if I can drive this time. Then she said BTW you drive a truck so it will be perfect for our shopping. It is not like we are going to buy the entire effing mall so we need a freaking truck. I am so bloody mad right now.

It can be annoying. Don't get wrong I love my friend to death but I hate when she pulls this mess with me. She knows when I see her today I am going to let her have it.

I don't like to drive so my friends are often the designated driver. But I dont think they mind because I get nervous with others in the car and my driving can be a bit scary!

Tell her something is wrong with your car and you are not comfortable driving. I have done this before. Then again, my check engine light goes on and off a lot...

I'm kinda used to it so it doesn't phase me.
My MIL was never a great driver and she's 69 so we usually either pick her up or my FIL drives.
My Dad is handicapped and can't drive. I've been his chauffer for years
I always look at it this way... If I drive, I determine when we leave

See, I have no problem doing it for older folks but my friend is just being spoiled and lazy. She does this because she knows eventually I will give in to her. I still love her any way.

DH and I both have friends and family members like this. Whenever my sister wants to go somewhere, she expects me to drive, even though she has a car and is perfectly capable. It's come to the point where I just come out and say I'm not driving and will take the bus, train, etc when traveling with them.

my 38 year old BIL doesnt have a license and expects DH to drive him EVERYWHERE. Thank goodness for caller id, cause DH is bad at saying NO.

DH does, the man won't go anywhere unless he's picked up so he can be the one to drink. My sister is also kinda like this - I had to drive to my own bridal party tea party b/c she didn't feel like driving!
