do you ever feel like such a bad mom?
obviously, I'm a first time mom but I feel like my mom is so much better with her.
I hate feeling like this.

I do feel that way a lot. I think being a mom is the hardest thing I have ever done.

I find my mom has a lot more patience than I do. But grandma's are supposed to be that way. She's assured me she use to be just as stressed out when I was little.

I know I do!!! I actually went out with her today and forgot to bring a bottle for her to eat! By the time we got home, it was an hour past her feeding time.

Yes, me too - dont be too hard on yourself, its normal to feel this way - and sure your Mom is going to be better at it...for now...you're just starting out

I do and my kids are getting older, 7 and 2. I yell alot and I HATE doing that. I feel like they never listen and they are ALWAYS fighting with each other. I have little patience to begin with!!
My mom has soooo much patience and even SHE has a problem not getting upset with my dd sometimes!!

lol, I had it worse with my first, I felt that my mother in law was so much better with her! She used to light up when my MIL walked in the room, but not for me. It was horrible. Now I know she loves me too though!

I find myself feeling guilty a lot of questioning if I'm doing it right but I guess I never feel like a bad mom. I know that I try so hard to be a good mom to her that I don't feel like I could be a bad mom and I'm sure you're a great mom, don't think just because your mom has a way with her that you aren't a good mom.

Yes, thank you for asking. He fell down the stairs. It was hands down the scariest and most upsetting thing of my life. I was a wreck and he was completely fine.

Kristin - I'm glad he's ok.
To answer the question, yes I feel like that at time. I'm short with them, tired, etc. I know my mom is better with my kids than I am - but than again she has YEARS of experience. I think of all of the times she lost her patience, yelled at us or we were hit with that stupid ring - and I realize back when she was a mom & not a grandmother, she had just as little patience as I did.

OMG - I'm so glad he's ok. You were probably more upset then he was. That must have been so scary for you.
By the way - I'm sure that all of you ladies are GREAT Moms. Grandmas have it different - they get to spoil them and it's ok. They have more patience because they are not with them 24/7. When we are all Grandma's we will earn that right too. Do you think when we are all Grandmas we will still be posting on here?  We can post our grandchildren
