Do Some Shows Piss You Off????

As many of you know - I was diagnosed with GD very early on.

I tivo'd a show called, 'deliver me, home edition' and it's about a woman who is having her 4th child and is SEVERELY diabetic.

It's making me ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This woman HAD diabetes prior to pregnancy and KNEW that she could control it with diet and insulin....but she did not. She would take insulin - but on an empty stomach (which makes your sugar skyrocket)....and was admitted to the hospital at 32 weeks because she was NOT controlling her food/insulin. In fact, she just went AWOL from the hospital....seriously - i'm FURIOUS with this woman.

I WANT TO HARM THIS WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes me crazy! How dare you endanger the life of your baby??????

When my mom calls and asks, 'are you sticking to the diet' my answer is ALWAYS the same, 'i have NO option, i am following what the doc said to the LETTER'.

HOW are there people on this earth that just don't care?????????????????

I saw that!!! That women was crazy! She obviously didn't care about her unborn child. I couldn't believe it when she left the hospital.

I love that show!! I wish I got discovery health. I happen to see it while visiting a friend upstate.

I totally agree with you! I know people in real life who smoked, did not control their diabetes, ate really badly, failed to get medical attention, etc. It should be considered a form of child abuse in my opinion.

Jess...I saw that episode recently and I wanted to jump into the tv and punch that woman in the face. There are people out there that are just SO selfish!!
