Do I need to get passports for the kids?
We are going on a Western Carribean Disney cruise, do the kids need a passport? It leaves from Florida.

I am pretty sure all cruise passengers are now required to have passports.

On a closed-loop cruise such as yours (embarking / disembarking from the same port), your children do not need a passport. They will need an original copy government-issed birth certificate.
That said, I always recommend securing passports whenever possible. Should some unforeseen event occur that prompted an early return from your trip, the passports would prove invaluable in expediting your entry back into the states.
In my eyes, it's a good investment especially if your family are frequent travelers.
