Do any banks offer free coinstar or coin counting?

Have a large amount of coins I want to cash in, but hate to take it to coin star and pay 10 cents on every dollar....

Please let me know!

Thanks!

Coinstar will let you get gift certificates for the full amount. My local one at Waldbaums gives Amazon, Starbucks, Old Navy, Borders and others. All places I shop anywhere so its as good as cash to me.

Re: Do any banks offer free coinstar or coin counting?

just an FYI..we went to TD with a wine jug FULL of coins..and was expecting like $600 +/- $50-100 (based on last time we did it 4 years ago at commerce) and we ended up with a lousy $340! we were so disappointed and the worst is there was no way to prove anything...they said they would "look into it for discrepancies"...but we are not holding our breath..they told us that we should know how much we have in there for next time!! Yeah like there will be a next time! Just make sure you have an idea of how much you want to cash in before hand if possible! (which sadly defeats teh purpose of the convenience!)

PS I do not have an acct at TD - anyone can walk in and use it!

it's self serve, like coin star. at the end you get a receipt and you bring that to the teller to get your $$$.
