Disney while pregnant

Did anyone ever go while pregnant? Are there any rides that I can go on?

I am sure there are tons of pregnant moms walking around there! I just want to make sure I get some enjoyment out of it

Re: Disney while pregnant

I went in December while just a month pregnant and there are rides that you can go on and some you cant. I think if you look at the maps on the disney website they will tell you which you cant go on. It seemed to be the fast and bumpy rides that I couldnt go on, I just walked around the park by myself while my husband and DS went on the rides. It was a little lonely but not worth taking a risk.

Re: Disney while pregnant

I went to Disney World when I was 4 month pg and Disneyland when I was 6 months pg and I was able to go on a decent amount of rides. Basically the only ones I didn't go on were the rollercoasters.

On Disney's website it tells you which ones they do not recommend for pregnant women.

Re: Disney while pregnant

I was 12 weeks pregnant when I went in May. My son was only 4 so there were plenty of rides that I went on..no roller coasters and I did not go on the raceway cars. I thought the worst thing about going while pregnant was the heat and the walking. Take it slow and drink water and you will have a fun time!

Re: Disney while pregnant

I found out I was pregnant while down at WDW. I spoke with my OB before I went b.c I knew I was TTCing - and he told me to just avoid rides that were not recommended to pregnant women.

There is SO much that you CAN do at WDW - more rides that are okay than not okay.

Here is the list of the rides that are not recommended - off the top of my head:

MK:
Space mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Goofy's barnstormer. I think those were the only ones that they did not recommend - all the rest were fair game. Oh the tomorrowland speedway I think might have been on the list b.c some people play bumper cars on them. I also avoided Tea cups - b.c of the spinning but I can't remember if it was actually ON the do not ride list.

EPCOT:
Test Track, Mission Space. The rest were okay - even Soarin was Okay. So there is plenty to do at EPCOT.

HS:
Rockin Roller coaster, Tower of Terror and Start Tours were all not recommended.

AK - was harder:
Expedition everest, Kali River Rapids, Safari, Dinosaur and The mouse coaster in Dinoland were all out. Honestly though a LOT of pregnant women ride Safari - if your going to ride it do it early on not later in your pregnancy if you feel you need to ride it - Also request the front of the car b.c it is less bumpy. It was one my OB said was at my discretion - esp b.c I went very early on - but I don't think I would do it later. But this is a VERY personal choice - so you might want to just avoid it all together.

Etd to add most of the rides that are not recommended have a high requirement so for me it wasn't an issue b.c my DD was only 15 months so I wouldn't have been going on them anyway.

Re: Disney while pregnant

I went last month and was 4 months pregnant. I went on so many rides and had a fantastic time! Lillykat's list is pretty good for what to stay away from. DD was 18 months old so most of those rides were not much of an option for us as well. DH went on them while she napped and I walked around sightseeing or just sat and relaxed on a bench
