Disney Tix (parks) - Does it pay to buy them ahead of time ?

Is there any savings to buying them in advance ?

What about Universal Studios ??

When DH & I went there on our HM we got them in advance save a bundle (we did a 10 day pass)

Well, Yes and No. Prices went up in August - so if you knew you were going it paid to buy them then - otherwise they are the same price (unless you buy them thru a service like undercover tourist or AAA - where you buy them online or at the office and they mail them to you) -but that you can do right before you go.

If you hold off - keep an eye on boards like disboards.com or mousesavers.com - both sites usually are right on the mark and can tell you a price increase is about to happen buy NOW.

I normally use AAA for a discount on both Disney and Universal or a travel agent if I can work a deal out.

We did but it was part of the while vacation package.

Those little booths you see around Disney that say "Discount Tickets" etc...

Are they bogus ? Whats the deal with them

Go and check out mousesavers.com - that site is really good and she breaks down the varies ways to buy tickets and what is a rip off and what isn't. I think they also discuss it pretty much in detail in the Unofficial guide to walt disney world.
