Did you have to buy larger maternity pants? OMG! My maternity pants are beginning to feel tight!

People always tell me that I am carrying small but I still feel huge (relative to my normal size). Even when I am home wearing scrubs, I feel uncomfortable. ANY additional pressure just makes my discomfort worse.

I had bought all these elastic band maternity pants in XS/S in my second trimester and now I feel the elastic bands feel tight and uncomfortable. Looks like I will have to buy a second round of maternity pants.

Did you buy additional maternity pants at the end of your 3rd trimester?

nope, I've been wearing the same maternity pants all the way through.

I did get a full panel pair of jeans & some larger tops (since I was told I was carrying high and the tops weren't long enough) at around 28 weeks.

Nope, I bought a size bigger to grow into. I refuse to spend another dime on maternity clothes. It is out of control.

I wish I knew to buy bigger sizes. I bought pants that felt great at Week 25 or so. I wasn't used to buying bigger sizes. Now at Week 30 they are already feeling tight. There is no way I can go another 10 weeks so I'll have to buy another round.

I'm in the same boat as you. Everyone tells me, "Oh, you're carrying so small!" which is awesome to hear, but at 33 weeks (and up 30 pounds), I feel anything but small!

I was wearing a size small for the first 4-5 months, but I am starting to feel like some of my mediums are getting tight...and the one or two pairs of large are too big. I'm just hoping the mediums get me through the next seven weeks!

Try to borrow from friends if you can...spending extra money on clothes you are only going to wear for a few weeks is annoying! Chat Icon

my pants are starting to feel a little tight as well - i have all full panel pants. I figure that if it gets really bad, I will just fold the panel down

None of my friends are mommies so I have no one to give me hand me downs.

I was thinking of maybe going to a second hand store and DH got annoyed at me and just told me to buy new pants. haha

Mine are starting to feel a little tight. I may have to invest in a couple new pairs.

I've been wearing the same size pants throughout. I'm all belly though, so I did need to buy bigger shirts because my belly looks like a torpedo. Chat Icon

I'm all belly too. Don't your elastic bands feel tight?

I have been trying to fold the elastic part under my belly but I don't like the way that feels either.

I think I'm just uncomfortable no matter what. I'll be uncomfortable at home when I'm not even wearing pants.

Yes! I at first bought all of the below the belly pants, but they all stopped fitting, so I had to buy the full panel pants and I am much happier! I am carrying pretty large, though, and I have gained a lot of weight (41 lbs at 32 weeks & probably a few lbs more this week! Chat Icon ) and now a lot of my pants are feeling tight around the thigh. I hope it is just water weight and not fat!

I bought the secret fit pants & at 29 weeks they still feel fine & it seems like I have room to grow. Since I'm carrying all in my belly & sticking waaaay out, my shirts are probably only going to hold out another week or two. Darn. I really didn't want to buy more maternity clothes.

i bought a size small and have been ok.

My jeans are starting to get tight so i went out and bought a larger size, but just one pair. I've decided to only wear jeans when absolutely necessary. otherwise i wear sweats and velour pants.

nope...I wore a size small the entire time. I bought them at nine weeks and they were huge!! I looked like I crapped my pants until about 27 weeks!!

did you try the secret fit pants from Motherhood Maternity?

they are regular material on the legs part- then they switch over to a camisole stretch material up top... no bulky elastic bands to feel uncomfortable with

I carried small in the beginning and I bought a few pairs of MP with the elastic band. Those worked until about 25 weeks and then they got really tight. I had to go to all full panel MP, but still in the same size. I'm all belly and carrying pretty low.

Yeah, most of my maternity pants are elastic bands. I have two pairs of the full panel I think. I have to get more.
