Did you ever do scavenger hunts as a teenager?

You know, the type where you load up four or 5 cars of people, each car pays like 25 bucks to play and you get a list of items (answers) worth various amounts of points and the car to get back with items totaling the most points wins the money? We used to do this every summer at the camp I worked at and it was some of the most fun times I've ever had Of course, it was also some of the most illegal times I've ever had, as well
There were always items worth the most points that had to be stolen from somewhere, like a bowling pin or bowling shoes or other random things that you most likely couldn't just find. Good times, good times.

I never did anything like that but I totally would have.. Sounds like so much fun!!

oh yes! We did them every year in HS the night before the Hostra Marching Band Festival. We had some GREAT times, stuffing as many people into a car as possible and reacking havoc in our neighborhoods...def did illegal stuff during those days!

Im MOH in June in a Key West wedding. We are doing it there. BUT this time around there will be drinking involved. 100 people drinking doing a scavenger hunt. I cant wait.

Never did this, but I love regular scavenger hunts!! It sounds like fun and something stupid enough I would've done, just never heard of it!!

OMG yes! We never did it for money though.. just bragging rights

Things I remember stealing for scavenger hunts:

We needed an ash tray, but couldn't find a regular sized one in any restaurants or anything.. so I (all 95lbs of me.. ) grabbed one of those huge cylinder ones from outside a store.. they're like.. 3 feet tall.. and threw it in my friends LEXUS!! SMART!

We needed something off someone's lawn but couldn't find anything small so we took someone's white wooden chair

Just last summer this kid at the grocery store was acting odd.. he was lingering near myself, DH and DS at the end of the checkout line.. then started bagging my groceries for me..

Finally I realize this kid does not work at the grocery store and his friends are TAKING PICS..

They were doing a church scavenger hunt and they had to do things on the list to help people and then take polaroids..

I thought it was a cool idea

He asked me if he could help me get my bags in the car and even asked for a pic helping me with my son.. which apparently from what he said, would get him a bunch of extra points

Never did it myself, but there were a crap load of kids at Stop & Shop last night doing one. They looked like a bunch of lunatics running around the store with their lists.

It was tradition in my high school every year. That and a game called "gotcha".

An old friend of mine would host a huge keg party afterwards every year. Her house would be littered inside & out with the most random things.

One year she wound up with over 15 lawn flamingos.

Of course we did this in HS. When I went to college I actually paid to make up hunts for the Fraternities and Sororities. Instead of stealing everything had to be done by pictures. Different tasks had different point values. I've done hunts for pledges and then Frat vs. Frat.

We had A LOT of fun.

I just used www.watsonadventures.com for my sister's bacholreete shower and it was great but I should have stuck with the idea I had back thn becasue I would have kick *** company like them now. Who knew I was ahead of the times way back then. Just another lost million!!!

YES!! And they were SO much fun! Actually the youth group i was in put it on. We had Polaroid cameras and had to get pictures with different people/places and we had clues that led us all over the place. I would do that again in a second!

YES!! Loved, loved, loved them.

A few kids in the scavenger hunt found out getting a license plate off a cop car was a bad idea. Um...yeah it's not worth the 10 points.
