Did the price of toys increase dramatically on Amazon ?
Or is it just me?
I don't really buy toys on there ever, but I feel like I looked a few weeks ago, and today they seem to have really raised in price. Maybe I'm wrong?

it ALWAYS does this time of year, which is why I both love and hate Amazon.
I don't buy ANYTHING on Amazon after 11/30 b/c the prices are ridiculously inflated.

Best prices for toys i have found are on Target- I have the red card too so free shipping and 5% off everything

I feel prices go up depending how much is in stock of the item. when its low in stock the price goes up when its high in stock price are down

Amazon prices fluctuate based on Supply and Demand. I usually add it to my cart and watch it for a few days.

You have to stalk. I know what a good price is or what I want to pay. It sits in my cart till it gets to that price.

Yes - many things that I was eyeing before Thanksgiving are now $$$$$. Luckily, they are still in stock at TRU, Walmart and Target so I can get them there for normal prices.

Two of the items in my cart went DOWN in price by about $10-$15 each,(about 1/2 hr. ago), so I ordered them. Yay!

I just looked and yes! They Starlily Unicorn toy that DD wants is $10 more today. That is crazy!!!

When I am looking for particular toys I open up 4-5 tabs for target, Walmart, TRU, Amazon and compare prices and free shipping. This time I went with TRU for a bunch.

I always price compare with a few sites. But yes, most prices increased since I originally made a wish list (to organize myself, not shared with public) a few months ago. Personally, after reading things about how the company is run, how employees are treated, and how shipping takes 3749287493 days for non-prime members ever since prime was introduced, I shop there less and less. I don't boycott it the way I do with walmart, but I do prefer to shop elsewhere unless there's a large price difference.

I don't think that most people realize that A LOT Of the items on Amazon are from third party sellers that set their own prices. So for instance, the Lego Gingerbread house I saw on there today was like $89, and it was NOT sold by Amazon, but a third party. The price changed hourly on it.

Check camelcamelcamel.com to track Amazon prices, it's the best.
I'll say I've been VERY impressed with TRU this holiday season (I usually despise them) and have had one awful toy experience with Target.com that has cost me a TON of time over the past few days so I can't say very nice things about them

I know Walmart price matches to Amazon online, I have heard Amazon will price match to Walmart. Chat with them and try.

I just priced a doll my cousin's daughter wants.
Amazon: $19.99 (but out of stock until 12/9 & that date keeps changing)
TRU: $26.99
Target: $18.00 (out of stock)
Walmart $19.88 (out of stock)
They all list the original price as different things too. Amazon claims it is $24.99, Walmart, $24.87, Target $19.99.
So TRU is the most over priced, but it is the only place that still has it, so I think I am going to be the sucker that pays the marked up price.
ETA- yes, the 3rd party sellers on Amazon are charging $45, but claim to have it in stock now.
