Did Anyone's Fertility Clinic Make Them Take Two BETA Tests And Not Give You The Results Until The Second One?
Just wondering if it's only where I go..East Coast Fetility.

I guess its a new thing..wonder why. Even when I initially went for my projected calender they put down the date of preg test (no call) then3 days later (call with results) I guess its a new practice of there's and it stinks. I just wrote my Dr asking why.

it's part of their protocol. they don't tell you, but i found out my first round when , of course, i was arguing with one of the nurses about my results. they do it to differentiate with implanting & late implanting. Just another twist in the road of IVF.

Interesting, I e-mailed my DR. and he said it's to make sure there is no HCG still in my system. I know there is not because I got several negatives before positives.

Some practices do it due to the higher incidence of chemical pregnancies with IVF.
If they told you today that you are pregnant and you come in for a followup beta on Monday and it has dropped, you are going to be devestated. This is to help prevent that - since all RE's tell you not to POAS.

I went to East Coast (then Kreiner IVF) 4 or 5 years ago and they did the same thing
the first test is done early along with luteals so they don't tell you
