And he screamed like a little girl

Ughh what should we do to make sure there aren't any others and to get rid of them? This is the first time we ever saw one.

We have a couple in our garage. I was totally freaked out so we hired an exterminator, but you could probably set traps on your own if you are less squeamish than I am. We have a 3 month contract where they set a bunch of traps throughout our garage and come back once a week to clean them out and if we see any more in between we can call and they'll come over.

We were told if you see one there are probably more, they breed really fast. As far as prevention, try to figure out how it got in. Turns out they only need a dime sized hole to get in, they just need to get the head in and then their body can squeeze through. We had a small gap in between our garage door and the wall of the garage, so it's now been filled with steel wool, which the mice hate. I walked around our entire house looking for more small holes and anything that I thought might be a problem I shoved steel wool in.

Glue traps work best. I hated when we had mice!! Ugh! Good luck!

We used a trap that you just put a little food inside and then the mouse goes in and it locks so you never have to see it. It has an indicator showing if it's empty or not.
