Determining Due date... Grrrrrrrr

I went to the Dr. last week and according to my LMP my EDD was the last day of Feb.....
and they told me I was in my 9 &1/2 week... ---(Today I would have been 10 &1/2 weeks)---

Today I went for my first sono.. and they said the baby is fine, but measuring only 8 &1/2 weeks....

I KNOW when my LMP was, could my ovulation be waaaay beyond screwy?? I am soooo confused.

Thats really all we can go by, LMP - I'm not really sure when I ovulated either, but the due date is really just a target date, give or take a week or two. But the doctors office always uses that, they add seven days to your LMP and count back 3 months.

It is very confusing.

oh and to add, my friend had insemination - so they knew the exact day she got PG and STILL used her LMP!

As long as the baby has a heartbeat and your hcg were doubling,....everything is fine !

Do you normally have long cycles ? I am assuming you conceived in the beginning of june, what day? when did you expect af? you can trace your ovulation approximately.....if you subtract 14 from your usual cycle days and then add two weeks, that should give you the exact week of your pg. Some women, don't ovulate on cd 14, they ovulate, cd 21 or later so there LMP is going to be off a week or more.

I have no Idea when we conceived..

My LMP was May 22... I usually get my period between the 22 and 26th of the month.... some extreme times.. (if its been a stressful month), it will be a little later.. but its usually about the same..

I have never charted or anything.. I recorded my LMP just because I was going to try to start charting.. I didnt even get to look up how when we found out we were preggo!
