Destination between Florida and New York
Hi,
Can someone please recommend a destination between Orlando (or Tampa) and Long Island that is kinda half-way and has an airport?
I want to get together with a friend who lives in Florida..and thought that somewhere about 1/2 way would be a good idea.

From looking on a map, looks like NC is in the middle of NY & Tampa/Orlando.
Raleigh is not too far off I-95
Not sure when you are going, maybe hit the beaches in NC
ETA: Raleight is a major city with an airport and Wilmington has an International Airport.

I was thinking this as well - or Charleston.
There are direct flights from LGA to Myrtle on Spirit that can be very reasonable. I think there are direct flights to/from Orlando as well.

Myrtle Beach is great!! So is Charleston and Wilmington, NC.
And, if you're planning on doing this soon, you'll luck out b/c it'll still be pretty warm but most of the tourists will be gone, except for some golfers in Myrtle Beach.

We go to NC every summer cause it is half way btw Tampa and LI. A bit shorter on the tampa trip.
We go to carolina Beach which is near the Wilminton NC airport but Myrtle beach wouldnt be much further and there are flights from here down all the time and decent prices.
You could also look into SC as the flight won't be much longer.
