Dec. or Jan. for IVF???

Hi ladies-
Just wanted to gather your thoughts. DH and I have decided to go forward with IVF after 1 1/2 years of ttc. Right now, we are trying to decide whether to begin the process in Dec or Jan. I can think of pros and cons of each. On one hand, with the holiday stress, do I want to start the ivf process. On the other hand, I've waited so long, I really don't want to wait another month.

Anybody else in this boat?? Do you think the month of Dec. is too hectic/stressful to begin IVF??

TIA

GO with your gut. I am trying to help you with pros and cons:

December is usually hectic for most people but @ least the holidays may help you take your mind off of ttc.

January is usually a wind down month ---- New Years resolutions and fresh starts it may not be bad to start then.

I know the waiting game s u c k s, just think about how the hoilidays are for you and good luck with whatever you decide.

You really have to do what's right for you. I am starting as soon as I get the go ahead from RE. I have been waiting so long at this point that I don't care what time of year it is or what's going on, I just want to get PG.

Re: Dec. or Jan. for IVF???

I am starting in late December for IVF #2. We could have started this month, but after I thought about it, January is a slow month for me and I thought this would spice things up a bit!

Remember that the process is really 4-5 weeks long so if you start in January, you may transfer late January or early Feb.

I started my cycle in late June and ran through July 31.

Good Luck! Maybe we will turn up as cycle buddies!!!!!
