Dear woman in the Apple Store taking a class

GET YOUR DOG OFF THE FLIPPING TABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Computers and electronic equipment go on these tables. WHY WOULD YOU THINK THIS WAS APPROPRIATE?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I am still not sure why the employees are just letting it go. This is just disgusting!!!! And not to mention my allergies! Would it be appropriate to put my son on the table?!?!? Heck no!

Because customer service precludes common sense.

A store associate will rarely address such a situation.

It's the same way you see kids rolling around in those wheelie things. Are they dangerous? Absolutely. Will a jerk of a shopper sue a store if their precious little darling falls and cracks their head open? You bet! But I can assure you, a store associate (or genius) for that matter won't say BOO.

Maybe, just MAYBE a manager will. But that's doubtful too.

I speak from experience - I've worked retail.

I can't tell you how annoying people like that are to associates.

Re: Dear woman in the Apple Store taking a class

Unless it is a service animal, the dog shouldn't have been in the store anyways. And, if it were a service animal, it's unlikely it would be small enough to sit on a table. I'd call the manager and complain.

I work at the outlet at tanger and you can't believe how many ppl think it's normal to do this. We only allow dogs in there if they are in a carrying thing or if the customer holds them. I always wondered why people never try to bring their catsChat Icon

Most Apple stores are in malls. Was this a mall?

Re: Dear woman in the Apple Store taking a class

I agree that this situation is totally unacceptable, but I don't understand the saying that the dog shouldn't be in the store in the first place. The Apple Store allows dogs, so why shouldn't the dog be there?

I thought this was the case. I'd sincerely call the manager and complain how unhygenic (among other things) that is for other customers.

If that doesn't work, I'd be calling the district supervisor to complain of the situation.

They do?? I didn't know that.

Even if they do allow dogs, they shouldn't be on the tables!!!!!

HUH? What stores allow dogs? (Other than those pet stores?) You do know the apple store sells computers and electronics, not actual apples right?

I found it kind of interesting when someone actually walked in with a service dog as she was there with her dog on the table. Service dog is another story. Service dogs are allowed.

I do know what Apple sells. My husband used to work at the one on 5th avenue, and he said there were dogs in there all the time. They are allowed. I know a lot of stores that allow dogs. Book Revue in Huntington, for example. They even have dog treats sitting around.
