DD just started doing the strangest thing
DD is a huuuuge babbler and has a few definite words...but for the past few days she started moving her tongue around and almost saying ble ble bleh and sticking her tongue out while she's doing..It's insanely cute, but at the same time am wondering if it's normal...it's almost like she discovered how to use her tongue to make a new sound? Anyone?

I remember DS doing weirdthings with his tongue around that age. It's as if he finally discovered it was in there.

yup thats what it looks like, she keeps going all day lelalialaloa blelalal its hysterical bc she keeps sticking her tounge back in and out of her mouth..I can't help but laugh

My DS hasn't done this yet, but my baby cousin did...she used to do it all the time, it was the funniest thing...I think it's just them getting used to their tongue and getting ready to speak.

She totally has conversations in this language too

My cousin too lol...we would do it back to her, and she would answer...we went back and forth for like 15 minutes.

Sasha just started doing this too-- I posted about it the other day. It's like a new sound/language-- she still makes her other noises though.
She does it in a talk and a whisper. It's so cute-- but I was like, what is that??
It's like a constant babble, but her tongue is in the front of her mouth-- kinda like when you are saying "the". Same thing??

 DS started doing this just before a year too, and he still does it - it's like he knows he's being funny and it makes me crack up so much

Oh gees. Sadie does this CONSTANTLY. Sometimes we think she is speaking chinese.
