dd (finally!) got rid of her binky...success on the first try! :)

it came up that dd loved the idea of a pillow so I nonchalantly suggested we could buy a pillow if she would give her binky to mommy and daddy since big girls with pillow do not need them...now, note, she only has a bninky at night - she stopped using it for everything else over a yr ago, but dh and i deicded that she really only used it then and it was ok, we would eventually wean her, but she is so good and we kinda slacked and didnb't - then we had our other dd and thought, well, we don't want to stress her...and so she has been still using it Chat Icon ..but fast forward to yesterday when we announced we were going to target (her request!) to buy a pillow...she picked...a travel pillow (!!) and we bought a tinkerbell pillowcase - well, actually the whole sheet set since they didn't sell just cases Chat Icon and she promptly marched her binky into our room, put it on my dresser and then went for her nap....i can't say she slept great, she did roll around far more than she used to for nap and overnight - but she didn't cry, etc...i am so proud...what a big girl !Chat Icon

just wanted to share!

ours turns 3 next week and we just didn't see a big pt in getting her traumatized - so we let it slide but wall-la she gave it up so easy....good luck! (and glad I am not the only one!)
