Daycare Moms - Tips for transitioning from the Infant Room to the Toddler Room?

Hi -

DD is going to start the transition tomorrow. I'm excited but sad at the same time bc she is growing up so fast! Chat Icon

How was your DC's tranisition? Anything I can do to make it better? Any tips?

TIA!

Aww, I cried on the trip home when they said DS was transitioning Chat Icon It's going so fast!

We had a dream transition, because our center eased him into it. He went one morning, then the next day both morning then back in the afternoon then the following week all in the toddler room.

Kids are more resiliant than us Chat Icon so she will likely be fine and if she is like Connor enjoy the stimulation of older kids and new toys.

Good luck!Chat Icon

Our center did it in steps. She spent a couple hours each day in the toddler room for a week and then the following week she went full force. She did great and I am sure your DD will too!

DS did the same and had a far better time than I did!
And most of his "friends" had already "gone to the other side" because I felt it was too early and held him in the Infant room for a bit longer......
