data recovery... how much?

long story-short... i have a cd with VERY VALUABLE pictures on it.

for whatever reason, i can't open them all. the computer they came from no longer exists. this is THE ONLY copy of these pictures.

how can i save them and how much will that run me?... and who would you trust with this?

any info/help will be greatly appreciated

I don't know how recovery works on a writable cd. I do know that our IT guy can get someting from a hard drive.

I'll ask him about the cd thing & if it's doable, can ask him for a favor. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

You say you can't open them all - does that mean you can open some?

Are getting any kind of error message when you try and open them?

What happens when you try to copy them from the CD to the hard drive?

Is the surface scratched? Have you tried other computers? Sometimes, one drive will be able to read more/less than another drive. I would try another computer first, to see how far you can get. No cost, and won't damage the CD at all.
