Custom Closet Companies -- Who do you recommend? Who is most affordable?
I have 2 odd shaped closets on the second floor of my partially dormered cape and I'm thinking I'd maximize their space if I used a custom closet company.
Who do you recommend? Who is most affordale? Should we just do it ourselves?
Help?

I have a FABULOUS company-- they are called Creative Closets. They did ours in Hoboken and they are going to do them in the new house in Westchester. They are based in White PLains, and I am not sure they come to LI, but it's worth a call-- they do great work and are VERY affordable.

I highly recommend Huntington Closet. I was so happy with them.
I used them too and were happy. Note - that most places have a minimum order of $500.
This is the closet they did for us.
ETA - mine did not cost $500 - but they screwed up and never told me that so they did it without the minimum order.

I just filled out the Huntington Closet online form for a free consultation.
Both closets are wierd because the ceiling slopes down to the front eve of the house.
Darling Hubby is already overworked (besides his full time job) with all the painting, trim work and putting in lights. I think we will kill each other if I start designing closets using a Home Depot type system.
That's why I'm hoping its affordable and he'll go for it.

There was an online company where we could have designed our own closet and had everything shipped to us. It turned out that the Huntington Closet's prices were about the same, only they installed them. They were really good about designing for what I needed. They put dresser drawers in one of our closets. It came out so good. They also made sure that we would still be able to get to our attic access plate with ease.

Kerie, thanks so mcuh for the extra info. Someone is coming on Wednesday. Keep your fingers crossed that I can convince hubby it's worth the investment and lack of aggravation!
