cruise questions

we are considering taking a cruise from Miami to the Bahamas and I have a couple of questions...

1. If we go in October, during hurricane season, will the waters be very rough, even if there is no hurricane right in the area?

2. If we go the 2nd week in November, will it be warm enugh in the Bahamas?

3. Where on the boat is the best place to get your room/ i know the higher the deck the better, but what about front, middle or back of the ship/

TIA!!! Chat Icon

Re: cruise questions

1. The seas should be fine, my friends were on a cruise when Hurricane Ike was on the way and said the weather was crummy but the seas were flat.

2. Never been to Bahamas, but I think in Nov the weather still should be in the low 80's and maybe high 60's at night (like FL).

3. The middle or back of the ship is best. The front is where you feel the rocking the most (if it's rough).

Re: cruise questions

1. Yes, the water can be rough, for swimming.

2. It should be warm enough to swim, we went on a cruise in December and it was warm enough.

3. Actually, if you are concerned about feeling the ship move and it will bother you, the best room to have is on a lower deck not an upper, you feel less movement. I would also try to get a room in the middle.
