Could you please suggest items/toys for 3-12 months?

We are heading into the 3rd month soon and I know Christmas is coming too. He's the first of a generation in an Italian family, so he'll be spoiled. What items do I need? Which specific items worked for you?

We already have a jumperoo and a highchair.

MIL suggested getting an exersaucer. My friend told me to get a walker instead of an exersaucer, but I thought I heard that maybe you don't want them wandering around. (We have a small place) What toys are good? What videos and books are good? Please help me BTDT moms!!! TIA!!!! Chat Icon

I've heard walkers aren't really recommended anymore (b/c of safety issues), that the exercauser is a better/safer alternative. So I'd request one of them, definitely.

DD LOVES her exersaucer. I definitely recommend that.

Other than that, right now (at 6 months) she likes toys that are small enough for her to hold and put in her mouth, so I'd just suggest those teething-type toys, or small musical toys.

I would recommend an exersaucer. I couldn't imagine not having one with #1 (but I didn't have a jummperoo - I did have a doorway jumper).

I am thinking of getting my son (3 mo now) some type of rocking horse. Most say 9 mo plus so I figure come late winter it should be good. I plan on buying things also for 3-12 mos (although I have so much since I have an older son not sure what is left out there).

I suggest a walker like this kind...one they push not the traditional ones that can tip over

Other ideas - things my #1 used at that age

Some kind of activity table for when they start standing (7-10 mos). I have one like this and the other one by Leapfrog with the ABC's - I think it is the roundabout or something like that - I liked the ABC one better.

Love this toy - Ball Popper

My son didn't have this but loved it everywhere we went

My son got this at 10 mos and still at 2.5 plays with it every day.

There are ton more toys we have but I think I hear my little one stirring...

Books - any board books with bright colors and lift the flap books too. Hungry Caterpillar, Brown bear, good night moon, sesame street books. Videos at that age -we only did Baby Einstein.

Due to the China toy scare, DS only has fabric toys.
