Come See My New Purchase!!
So we've been working on our study the past few months - removing wallpaper, patching plaster walls, sanding, painting. I feel like it's been a year since we started!
This weekend we're doing the base moulding and painting the trim and then (finally!) we can move the furniture in and use the room!
It's a small-ish room that will function as our office (glass-top desk) as well as our reading room with one wall of bookcases and in the corner, under the windows, we splurged on the lounge chair and ottoman. Cannot wait for it to arrive - I feel like visiting his brother in the store until it does

I know diddly squat about furniture, so I can't comment on the "Eames" brand. I'm guessing it's good though.
It looks so vintage. Like straight out of the 50's. Like it belongs in LA Confidential. I really like it!!

DH has been on an Eames white loveseat search that he can have redone for about 4 years now.
I wish I shared his passion, , but I am too much of a simpleton!

That's exactly right Sasha - 1956, to be exact...so the chair is a 50th anniversary edition.

My previous landlord - and now, great friend - really sparked my interest in classic, modern furniture. He has the most gorgeous cream, wool Knoll sofa - that if brand new (his is 20 years old and he purchased it for $3500 years ago) would go for $15,000 
He has a knock-off of the Eames lounge chair that DH had been drooling over...and now he's drooling over our purchase
