Is colace safe to take daily??. Or should you only take it once in a while??.

my dr told me i could take it daily if i needed it(up to 2/day).....i made some major changes to my diet, so now i only need it once or maybe 2x/week

I took it daily until I switched prenatals. My new ones have stool softener in them, so I stopped taking the colace. Just make sure your prenatals don't have some in there already - you don't want to go over the recommended dose.

Not sure about Colace, but my Dr. told me to take Senokot, and it worked for me.

yes, it's only in your intestines, never enters your blood stream. you can take 3-4 daily for a couple weeks, then 1-2 thereafter.

I took it 2X/day for 8 weeks (and it was specifically ordered by my doc, as I was on hospital bedrest....so it was obviously safe to take!)
