Classroom website? Blogs?
I'd like to start this year by creating a classroom website of some sort or a blog. I signed up for one (edublogs) but I found it a little difficult to navigate around (I'm pretty good with computers too) . Anyone have any site that they use for this? I would love to add my own clipart and allow students to post questions (monitored of course)... is this too risky? Anyone with any experience... help!

In my last school a lot of teachers used blogspot.

I have a class website through teacherweb.com. There is a blog feature you can use and you approve the comments before they are posted to the site.

What age are your students? I used edublogs which I agree is a little hard to figure out. My high school students did alright with it but it never totally cought on. I was able to approve their comments before they were posted.
I tried offering extra credit for posting which helped! With my seniors, I encouraged them to use it to help eachother through a difficult project which worked out well too.

thank you all so much... i have fourth graders beginner ells so i figured if i can post links and sites to help them out that would be a plus!! (plus i think im getting a smartboard this year so i can always refer back!!0
