Classes at Massapequa BRU
There is a car safety class tonight at 7pm (I think) and on Thursday, they will have a lactation specialist in for a class on breastfeeding - she isn't a BRU employee, but works in area hospitals.
Supposedly these are informative seminars and they aren't allowed to push one product over another - but I am sure that there will be emphasis on purchasing stuff. Just weed out the info I guess.

Me and Christina (brians baby) went to a breastfeeding seminar at bru and I found it to be very informative.

Stef that is great to know!! I was soooo confused by all the bottles and pumps and such when I registered this weekend, so the girl came over and told me about the class.
Donna, yes, when I went on Saturday they gave me a Jan & Feb calendar. You are supposed to sign up beforehand but no big deal if you just show up, as long as it isn't overbooked.

OK nobody seems interested but it was so worth it!!
DH and I were the only ones there, and asked lots of questions. The class was so informative - really great.
Plus we got a bunch of freebies.
I am going to attend as many as I can.

Breastfeeding is this Thursday. In Feb. they have Safety in the Home, Diapering Basics, and a few others, can't remember right now...
She also told me that the class in Westbury are great - they have a wonderful pediatrician who comes in.

Um just a few little things - Johnson's baby shampoo and lotion (trial sizes), a little picture frame, some Avent bottles and bags, a note pad for the fridge, and I can['t remember what else... but it was cute.

I need to stop by there to p/u registry cards, think I will get the calender too and start signing up for classes!
I had previously only been had the Westbury store's calender, which never coordinated w/ my schedule.
Hope to see some of you ladies at the classes!!

Westbury is their busiest store in the COUNTRY so it is much harder to get into their classes. Massapequa and Commack are the slower stores and therefore the classes are usually pretty small.

nope we live in charlotte. I am sure they offer the same classes in NY....not sure of the schedule though
