City Employess that have GHI
Beware of your well baby visits. DH is FDNY and I got a letter from ped yesterday that Jenna's last well visit was not covered. GHI's policy is as such as least for us. You are allowed 11 well visits up until their 23rd month. So make sure you keep track of your visits and get them in for their 2 yo check up at the 22-23 month mark

Re: City Employess that have GHI
I'm glad you brought this up, I have meaning to ask someone on here. DH is in the NYPD and we have GHI. I have been paying a $15 co-pay for all of DS's well visits (he is not 8 1/2 mo. old). Are we supposed to have a co-pay?

Re: City Employess that have GHI
Dh also is NYPD and we don't pay a co-payment unless DS is sick. Then the co payment is $15

I HAVE been paying $15 for every well visit DS has had. Now I am going to have to ask for the money back?

Re: City Employess that have GHI
Omg the City of New York S U C K S. I called the union for clarification of policy since we have nothing in writing, they tell me to call FDNY headquarters, who in turn tells me to call labor mgmt. They tell me all the info is on the website, this is all it says:
Well-baby and well-child care and immunizations, for children up to age 19
No mention of 11 visits or 23 months of age. I ask for written parameter of policy, informed there is none..

At least they will friggen talk to you! They tell me they have to speak to DH
And we don't pay a co-pay on well baby visits either.
Plus GHI can't seem to figure out hte difference between at 28 year old JR and a 7 month old III!!!

Re: City Employess that have GHI
For my first child I never paid a copay for well visits, but for this one my doc said that that there is no copay for well visits if I see him every other month, but I wee him much more, because this baby is a slow gainer and keep having to pay copays for the in between well visits.
