I find this heartbreaking. I can't explain it, but it literally hurts my heart and brings tears to me eyes.

That's the first thing I noticed. How sad they all look. Look what they have to sit on all day
Too bad we can't have more toy factories in the USA!

People wouldn't pay what it would cost to make stuff in the US, everyone wants things the cheaper they can get them.

Chinese Factory Workers & the Toys They Make
Really sad for those workers. They work hard and can't even make ends meet.
Sick to think what type of paint and stuff is used to make these toys...same toys that our babies put in their mouths.

i wonder,.. because we ALL pay more for the must have gift.. Just look at the price of Doc McStuffins online or last year's Leappad mania.
I think we DO pay for what we want.
But I liked one article that said that said that we may Pay more for toys but our kids would have less and would that be such a problem?
ETA: if we shut down these factories btw.. it won't 'help' them at all. Most are actually grateful to have these jobs. and I'm sure we have the same here in the US just under the eye of the law.
These people take family and pride over everything. They will work 3jobs to keep their families fed and warm. They will do literally anything for family.

Chinese Factory Workers & the Toys They Make
Am I the only one annoyed by this post? The only thing I can think of is ALL the money we owe China. We should be making our own products and toys. I understand that it is sad with the conditions these people work in, fine. But at least they are employed. And their country is the number one country in the world because we Americans buy SO much of their products. THAT was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this post....

No, you most definitely are not alone. I posted to buy on etsy. I posted it in a quiet tone because i've ranted on here so many times about not buying from China, but I may as well spit in the wind for all the good it does.

Glad I am not the only one! I actually look at labels and see where most things I like come from before purchasing. I am paying even more attention to it while Christmas shopping.

I saw this installation at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago in 2006. Really powerful images.
