Child Tax Credit?
My DH got a new job and on his W-4 they have the child tax credit. Is this separate from dependents? So if he decides to claim 0, he can still put in 2 for the child tax credit right?  TIA

DH & I both claim "0" dependents but have a tax deduction for 2 children.
I may not understand the question.
The W-4 is to determine how much his job should withhold from his check. Depending on the number of dependents, you will either owe or get a refund when you file for taxes.

So he doesn't need to inform his employer of the tax credit thing just how many dependents he is claiming right?

it sounds to me as though he's getting the credit throughout the year instead of on his taxes.
be careful, you might not be able to claim that credit at tax time
