Change in Social Security and Federal Taxes this week?
I got $5.51 extra.
I thought it was supposed to be 2% more?

The social security withholding rate went down 2% but at the same time Federal withholding rates changes also (it most cases up).

Ok, some of my co-workers increased and decreased things (401K, claims, have no medical in their paychecks).
We are thinking that might be the reason I got less out.
My medical is increasing next week though so maybe I will get more then.

You should compare this paystub to your last one to see where your taxes increased and/or decreased so you'll know for sure.

You should compare this paystub to your last one to see where your taxes increased and/or decreased so you'll know for sure.
I did. Social Security and Federal went down.
