Ceiling fans?

We were debating putting them in all the bedrooms.... Do they help? Do you recommend them and where would you put them? DH said donwstairs too on the main floor, but I am not sure.... What is the cheapest you can get one with a light for?

Re: Ceiling fans?

We put ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms, kitchen and the living room. I love them. In the summer..they help blow the cool air from the AC around and keep the hot air up towards the ceiling, in the winter, they blow he hot air down to kee us warm. We got ours at Lowes and Home Depot.

Re: Ceiling fans?

We have them in all the bedrooms. I believe the cheapest one with a light is well under $100

Re: Ceiling fans?

I love ceiling fans! We werejust talking about putting one in our bedroom yesterday because I hate the chill from airconditioners!
We have a basic white fan with a light in our office that was maybe $50 (if that) from Walmart.
In our kitchen we have this one ($89) from Lowes:

I am considering one from Lowes that is $100 for our bedroom, but it comes with a remote also!

Re: Ceiling fans?

I'm a big fan of them (no pun intended, ha Chat Icon ) b/c I'm not very fond of Air Conditioning. We have one in our living room that was there when we moved in and we bought one for our bedroom from Target with a light fixture which was on sale for only $15! However, I will say you get what you pay for b/c it's much smaller than the living room and as a result doesn't generate as much air b/c the blades are shorter. But overall I like having them, especially in the bedrooms.

HD or Lowes has great prices. just make sure they're quiet! I have one in our bedroom and never use it while we're sleeping b/c it's so darn LOUD! Chat Icon
