So yesterday I was having horrible O pain.. I was only cd9. Tested in the am with the new flashey smiley OPK and it was negative. I was shocked bc the pain was bad and I know my body. Took another after lunch and it was neg again. At this point the pain was bad and I was expecting at least a flashing smiley. Then before bed, I took another one bc I was also having CM and it was a solid smiley meaning I was def surging. We BD'ed...
At work today I have an OPK there (I know LOL) and I took it just bc I was double checking why I would go from a total neg to a solid smiley... it was neg! WTF?! I don't get it. How did I get an LH surge yesterday and nothing today? Does that mean I am not surging?

Are you on a 28 day cycle? If so CD9 is early to get a surge!? Maybe you had a faulty test? If you are coming off of a chemical that can throw things off.
I'm not sure; just throwing out possibilities. Sorry.

No pcos :/ I guess my cycle is just off. My period was lighter than usual and totally painless so I knew something wasn't right.

I don't think cd9 is too early to surge. My problem is not in ovulating- it's after. But I'm on a 27/ 28 day cycle and I always surge cd10 and cd11. As for the flashy smiley, I'm not sure why it was negative the next day
