Car seats in other peoples cars...who paid?

Kinda personal question here..

If your parents or your in-laws have car seats in their car, who bought them?

Did you pay for them or did they?

We did, but they've paid for tons of other baby things for their houses.

We are thinking of getting a car seat for my MIL's car, if we do , we will pay for it. After all its for our child, so I feel that its up to us to pay fo rit.

They were handed down from my sisters or we paid. Otherwise we would be moving car seats whenever we pick up the kids which can be a PITA.

We did. We didn't think it would be fair otherwise. Plus Grandma spends too much on her already!

My SIL just moved nearby to us and she bought a booster for my niece for our car. HTH

The only other person who has a car seat other than us is my IL's and it was their decision to buy one. When we come home the car seat gets rotated around to whomever we stay with so I don't have to bring it in the airport/plane.

btw- they paid.
eta: if I needed to them get one since they would be taking DD here and there I would get it for them.

my mom was thinking of getting a car seat for their car, and while she'd willingly pay for it (she buys Ella ANYTHING), I think its our responsibility.

I try to provide all the stuff we use at their house - diapers, gear, etc. They already do so much.

I registered for one, and my mom bought the one for my truck for my shower!

I paid I only thought that was fair since they are doing me the favor of driving her around.

I'm planning on buying one for MIL's car. She babysits for free every Wednesday. Honestly, it won't surprise if she offers to buy it herself, but I feel it is my responsibility since she is taking care of my child.

DH and I actually just discussed tonight who our emergency back up would be. We will buy the carseat for her.

My parents bought their own car seat stroller and porta crib for their house. I didnt ask them to. They just wanted to have everything on hand.

We purchased carseats for my parents and for our babysitter. My parents offered (insisted, actually) to buy theirs, but since I wanted Britax seats, I paid. I couldn't ask my mom to pay $500 for seats for MY kids.
