Canada Goose, North Face, etc. "nicer" down coats?
Does anyone have one of the pricier down coats? I have gone through Michael Kors and Calvin Klein down coats in 1 season so I'm wondering if its worth it to just invest in a better one. Any feedback?
I should specify--my issue is always with the zippers getting caught on the fabric. In general, crappy plastic zippers.

Canada Goose, North Face, etc.
I had a guess down coat for many years and it was super warm. I really loved it. BUT it was heavy. With 3 kids the last thing I need is a heavy coat. I just purchased a north face coat from macys with their friends and family 25%. North face is usually excluded.

look into Stone Island. I LOVE their coats!!
last yr i was shopping for a ski coat and went into Atrium in Soho. my bf got annoyed or something and walked out the store right before i laid my eyes on this amaaaaaazing stone island coat. i walked out the store and told him how beautiful it was but its a mens coat and way more than what i wanted to spend.
welllll about a week later he was shopping during the day for work and i get a text with pics of him in the SAME COAT!! "hey babe i saw this coat and i love it. should i buy it?" well he did.. and now i put it on right before he does and yell out "MINE!"
i ended up getting a super warm coat from artizia a block away in soho on bdwy. its SOO WARM its comparable to a canada goose. also look into BOGNER! fell in love with a bogner fire + ice in silver. so hottttt

I have heard good things about mackage - a little pricey though.

I have a wool Mackage coat, definitely was pricey but I hardly wear it, didn't even think of the brand for down!
With the cheaper brands, I worry about the zipper. That is what has done me in with my coats in the last few years! I need a better zipper!

I have North Face and it is hands down the warmest jacket I have ever owned. This is my second season with it and so far so good !

I have an Eddie Bauer coat and it's fantastic.
Just looked it up - The Superior Down coat.
My SIL had the Canada Goose and sold it on eBay - not warm enough.

I had a North Face for over 10 years. Love it. I'm getting another soon..North Face Condor Tri-climate...waterproof, windproof, warm...i can't wait!

I will go to my grave with my north face coat. I have the long hooded one and it is lightweight but insanely warm.

North Face was well worth it. I have also had bad luck with Calvin Klein. North Face has also been pretty good about the down not coming out. Every jacket seems to eventually start to have feathers leak through the surface.

I have the long north face jacket to the knee for going on 3 years. Its in perfect condition. Abosolutely love it! And it keeps me so warm its ridic and im someone who hates to be cold and always am when im outside. Not in this thing. No matter the weather. It was pricey BUT not an arm and a elg which i have seen some coats for 500 and up. I got mine at macys and used a coupon on it during 1 of the sales where you can use it on name brand stuff.
