from what i understand:
1. your skin is more sensitive when preggo
2. you don't want to overheat your bean
so i would be cautious...

Are you talking about going to a tanning salon or going outside?
Tanning Salon - as a post from last week - we decided - a big no-no.
Outside - it is fine as long as you do not stay out for long periods of time and while you are out make sure you are getting enough fluids in you - you will dehydrated yourself and that no fun.

I did both.
I live in Florida and naturally was at the beach and pool alot throughout my pregnancy.
If you tan you need to use a booth and not a bed. Since you don't want to be lying on your back. You also have to be hydrated and only go for short periods of time.
Lots of women down here do both. I find both relaxing and honestly spending 7 minutes in a tanning booth can actually be less hot then spending just a few in your backyard or in a hot car, hot bath or shower etc...

I'm a tan-o-holic and asked my Doctor. She said there is nothing wrong with tanning as long as you don't get over heated and to just be careful because your skin is more sensitive.

SAME HERE!!!!!!!!! love the sun and being tan...and let me tell you...aftr just coming back from a cruise and being nice and bronze..you just fell better about your appearance!
